The Full Story
Andre Watson is a dedicated public safety professional who embodies the core values of honesty, consistency, and integrity in all aspects of his work. With over 16 years of experience in emergency medical services, the military, and law enforcement, Andre has built a reputation for being trustworthy and reliable. He believes these principles are essential for fostering strong relationships within the communities he serves.

His commitment to service began as an emergency medical technician while working for his undergraduate campus-based emergency medical service. He later transitioned to a full-time position with an ambulance service in western Massachusetts. His EMT training eventually led him to work at Boston Children’s Hospital Emergency Department, where he cared for children and families during their most vulnerable moments.

Andre's dedication to public service continued when he enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving as an Intelligence Analyst. His work supported vital military operations and national security efforts, culminating in his recognition with the Air Force Achievement Medal during Operation Enduring Freedom.

His extensive experience includes significant roles within the Boston Police Department, where he earned accolades for his outstanding service and dedication to public safety. As a Media Relations Specialist, he enhanced community relations through honest and transparent communication. In his role as a Police Officer, he led teams in critical emergency responses and law enforcement, consistently upholding the highest ethical standards. His exceptional service was recognized with prestigious awards, including the George L. Hanna Medal of Valor and the Boston Police Department Medal of Honor.

Andre also served as the Director of Campus Safety and Transportation at Shady Hill School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. There, he earned recognition for his steadfast dedication to improving campus security. Andre’s achievements include implementing comprehensive security policies protecting students and staff members and developing proactive training programs, such as Active Threat Response. His commitment to collaboration was evident as he collaborated with local public safety agencies to conduct security drills, demonstrating his belief that teamwork is essential for effective emergency preparedness.

Andre holds a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice and a Graduate Certificate in Security Studies from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.
